About the Club
Making Friends through Golf
Dinaledi Golf Society is a Golf Club formed based on family values, and was established in 2003 by a group of golf enthusiasts who used to play golf together socially, drawn from various Golf Club Members coming from various provinces, but mostly residing in Gauteng, and the Group was formalized with the aim of growing the membership.
In its formation the DGS has been used as a common ground in playing golf to encourage and foster the development of Golf and often lifelong friendships, with like minded individuals in the promotion of Golf, as well as to uplift the lives of those less fortunate within our communities through our Charity Activities that we hold during our Year End Functions. To this end we play golf once a month, and at the end of each year a family excursion is organized by the Committee and families are invited for the Year End function, where the various Club Competitions culminating from the monthly games can be played and both Golf Competitions and Non golfing acknowledgements can be made for various contributions to the club and prizes can awarded. This gives invited guests, Families and Children an opportunity to experience the Dinaledi espirit de corps and camaraderie, and most importantly its purpose.
The adopted colours of the club are royal blue and yellow and combination thereof. Every member of the DGS Society is expected to adhere to the Dinaledi Golf Club’s Code of Conduct.
